Black Hills Junior Football League (BHJFL) is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides a football and cheerleading program for our community youth, ages 2nd grade through 8th grade. Founded in 1994, BHJFL was organized to replace the middle school football program in North Thurston Public Schools (NTPS), when the program was eliminated due to the 1994 levy failure. With the cooperation and assistance of NTPS and Yelm School District, BHJFL has successfully coached, prepared, and developed hundreds of dedicated athletes for the high school football programs in our area.

BHJFL's success depends greatly on the support of our community business partners and sponsors. BHJFL believes that every youth should have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities, regardless of their socio-economic status. For that reason, money raised through sponsorships goes directly to the players and the teams in the form of scholarships, reduced payment plans, and equipment.

In return, each season BHJFL players and cheerleaders contribute back to their community by conducting a Food Drive to benefit the Thurston County Food Bank, a Toy Drive to benefit the Salvation Army, and a fundraiser to benefit SafePlace and victims of domestic violence.
